Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The entire compression process happens inside your browser using JavaScript. Your file never leaves your device and is never sent to any server.
How much will my PDF shrink?
It depends on the source. PDFs from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or design tools often see 10–40% reduction. PDFs that are already compressed may see little to no change.
Will the quality of my PDF change?
No. This tool does not re-render pages or degrade image quality. It only compresses the internal structure of the PDF and strips unused metadata.
Does it work on password-protected PDFs?
No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. You would need to remove the password first.
What's the maximum file size?
There is no server-side limit. The limit is your device's available RAM. Most modern computers can handle PDFs up to several hundred MB with no issues.
